An example of how ArchiCAD's 'building information model' concept  approach to building design, also known as BIM can be utlilised.  Setting up a project in 3-D can be time consuming at the front end, particularly for smaller practices that may not have sufficient resources .  With this refurbishment project the architectural practice saved time at the outset by commissioning a model of the existing building.
